We ask ourselves when making all brand decisions, "Is this sustainable the A.Lynn way?", which we refer to as A.L.Sustainable.
Our sustainable practices touch all aspects of our business. From the fibers of the fabric, through the production of the garments, to how the workers are treated, to the methods of shipping, and finally, if it can be recycled and how we can reduce waste and landfill.
Our products are built for a lifetime, not a single season. We design with the mindset that you'll wear A.Lynn day after day, year after year. Not only are the silhouettes timeless, but the materials stand up to the test of time.
Not to mention that our new sizeology was invented to fit 99% of all body types, allowing our customers to find their fit on the first try. This perk reduces returns and exchanges (to less than 1%), which helps cut the carbon emissions of shipping, the added materials in packaging, and waste from damaged goods.
For the A.Lynn garments that do make their way back to our warehouse and aren't re-saleable, we make sure to donate them to charities so that someone in need can enjoy the cozy comfort! Whatever the matter is, we strive not to send anything to a landfill!
We use the highest quality fibers to develop our fabrics. Our goal is to provide a luscious fabric that feels like a second skin, while assuring it has sustainable benefits both in its structure and its function.
The fibers are extracted from the pulp of Beech wood and Eucalyptus trees. Our fiber manufacturers practice symbiosis as a principle in production for growing, using, and regrowing the trees.
The end product is easy to care for (machine-washable), doesn't loose its color or stretch, maintains the same look on day 100 as on day 1.
This is a buttery-soft miracle that benefits both you and the environment!
We think beyond the product's lifecycle...going from our hands all the way to your front door.
All of our tissue paper, hand-written notes, and stickers come from recycled materials. We also buy just enough to ship per month to avoid (unneeded) excess paper goods.
The BEST part...we collect all of our box-packing materials (plastic pillows, bubble wrap, brown paper, etc...) from our community. All of the materials that come from your online shopping (from A...Z), we take and reuse for our packaging.
...So feel free to contact us and send over any unused bubble wrap.
We're happy to offer you more information about our design procedures, fabric developments, and any other sustainable practices you may have questions about. Please send a message here, and someone from the A.Team will be back with you shortly.
